Roe vs. Wade Celebrations

On January 22^nd, the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision allowed legal abortions in 1973. Young NOW feminists in central Indiana are celebrating the Roe Anniversary by hosting “Rock for Roe” on January 23^rd at a member’s home. Indianapolis NOW is holding a celebration at Aristocrats’ in Broad Ripple on January 19^th at 6:30 p.m.

2011 Meeting Dates and Locations

March 8th (Tuesday) – 100 Year Anniversary of International Women’s Day – This meeting will be held at the Global Gifts store, at 446 Massachusetts Ave. Come hear about Fair Trade and International Women’s Day. Attendees get a chance to win a door prize.

June 8th (Wednesday) – Picnic in the Park – And now what? Come to discuss life after the Indiana
legislative session. Bring a dish to share and plan to meet at Broadripple Park, 1450 Broadripple Ave. (the
shelter closest to the pool).

September 14th (Wednesday) – Feminist Article Review. Meet at Glendale Public Library, 6101 N. Keystone Ave, in the Community Room.

December 14th (Wednesday) - End of the Year Celebration and chapter elections. Meet at Glendale Public Library, 6101 N. Keystone Ave, in the Community Room.
